Designing new forms of everyday health interventions
19-03-2026

The research proposal ‘Health-data-design-playground: innovating data-driven everyday health interventions’ by Bin Yu, associate lecturer at Digital Life, has been selected this year as one of 19 promising projects from a total of 54 submissions.
This proposal was submitted as part of the Centre of Expertise Creative Innovation’s Creative Innovation Call 2026. This annual call, aimed at the four universities of applied sciences in this network, encourages innovative ideas that contribute to creative solutions for current societal issues.
The Health-Data-Design-Playground offers an experimental platform where designers work with sensor data and biosensors. Using sensor kits, datasets and design tools, students and makers can design new forms of everyday health interventions.
The platform makes it easier to rapidly develop prototypes that support health, behaviour and self-reflection in daily life.
